Here you will find all the information you need about the Braille Library at the BBi. Use of the library is free of charge for people who are blind. Choose from over 8,000 works in Braille across a wide range of genres. Our catalogues are available to download as plain text, so you can get an overview of what’s on offer.

This catalog contains works of fiction in both abridged and unabridged versions, including novels, novellas, short stories, and travelogues.

This catalog generally includes the same genres as No. 577, but is limited to works in standard script. Children’s and young adult literature is in shorthand.

The central catalogue “Medibus” lists over 40,000 works in Braille. We are also happy to arrange an interlibrary loan for you if you cannot find the book you are looking for here and would like to borrow it from one of the other German-language libraries.
